Dometic Cruisair has a range of air conditioning units to suit all needs and includes the following:
Self Contained Air Conditioning Systems
For Smaller Boats Up to 12 Meters (40 Feet)
Self-contained units are typically the best choice for smaller boats up to about 12 meters (40 feet) due to the lower cost of the units and installation.
The most popular series is the Cruisair Stowaway Turbo.
The DTU turbo series has a range from 6,000BTU to suit a small cabin, up to the 16,000BTU unit for an average saloon area. The larger DCU series consists of a 18,000BTU and an 27,000BTU unit, which would be suitable for a larger area.
The engineers at Freezetec can determine the correct size unit for your vessel. Contact us for more information.

Split Air Conditioning Systems
For Boats Up to 24 Meters (80 Feet)
Split air conditioning systems have the condensing unit and air handler installed in different locations.
- The condensing unit is mounted in the engine room or other mechanical space.
- The air handler (also called the evaporator) is installed in the living area. Two air handlers can connect to one condensing unit.
The most popular series is the Emerald.

Tempered Water Air Conditioning Systems
For Large Boats and SuperYachts
Cruisair tempered water air conditioning systems (also called chilled water) consist of a chiller, located in the engine room or machinery space. The chiller unit cools (or heats) fresh water, then pumps it through an insulated piping loop to air handlers located in the living spaces, where the air is cooled (or heated).
A variety of air handlers are available to suit your needs.
The most popular series are the TWCX Compact and the MTD modular Chillers.
